Hafid Rifi is new CFO of Asklepios Kliniken GmbH

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Asklepios Kliniken GmbH appointed Mr Hafid Rifi (43) as Group Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. He takes on his new role with immediate effect.

Mr Rifi has headed the Group Accounting and Management & Controlling departments for Asklepios since 1 September 2009. He was also appointed as the Managing Director of Asklepios Kliniken Hamburg GmbH in December 2015, and he already took on the CFO role on an interim basis in early February. Mr Rifi is an economics graduate and qualified tax consultant and auditor. Before joining Asklepios, Mr Rifi spent eleven years as an auditor responsible for advising and auditing publicly traded companies from the healthcare sector as well as municipal hospital chains and university hospitals.

In the last six years, Hafid Rifi has played a major part in the successful implementation of the growth strategy at Asklepios, taking responsibility for Group projects such as the public takeover, consolidation and integration of the majority investment in MediClin AG. Mr Rifi has made a crucial contribution to shaping and promoting the centralisation of corporate financing at Group level and the opening of Asklepios to the capital market with central financing measures such as bond and promissory note issues.

Mr Rifi takes the post over from Stephan Leonhard, who left the company after thirteen years at the end of January.
