We operate on a stable financial basis, thereby setting the right course for further consolidating and expanding our market position. To this end, we will continue to rely on a stable capital structure and long-term financing strategies in the future.

Company profile

Medical quality, innovation, and social responsibility have been at the heart of our business activities since our founding.

The Asklepios healthcare group was founded in 1985 and is now the leading family-owned private hospital operator in Germany, with more than 160 healthcare facilities. The takeover of the hospitals in the city of Hamburg in 2004 and the majority takeover of MediClin AG in September 2011 are significant milestones in the company's development. Since 2020, Rhön-Klinikum AG has also been majority-owned by the Asklepios Group. Since its foundation, Asklepios has developed from a hospital operator into a healthcare group and established a holistic, integrated treatment approach.

We have medical facilities in all federal states. Asklepios' business activities have always been focused on providing our patients with future-oriented medical care that meets the highest quality standards. We offer our 70,000 employees a wide range of services and a varied, progressive, and secure workplace. Our goal is to shape the medicine of the future. For us, the key to this lies in digitalization. We summarize Asklepios' vision of a fully integrated digital healthcare group under the term "Digital HealthyNear".

The dense network of clinics and healthcare facilities enables integrated treatment chains and the establishment of medical clusters. The Asklepios Group covers the entire spectrum of medical services throughout Germany: in addition to university hospitals, maximum, basic, standard, and specialized care, specialist hospitals with particular areas of expertise - the Centers of Excellence - operate far beyond their respective regions of care. As the operator of rehabilitation clinics, Asklepios is able to provide all inpatient care, including follow-up care, from a single source. Outpatient treatment is available to patients at the group's medical care centers.

The Asklepios Group focuses on the non-cyclical acute care market. Around 87% of its business volume is accounted for by acute care hospitals, with the remaining 13% coming from rehabilitation facilities and other medical institutions. However, Asklepios' value chain has expanded in recent years. In addition to prevention, outpatient and inpatient treatment, and aftercare for our patients, Asklepios offers online therapy and treatment services.
