	Clinic and Polyclinic for Orthopedics
	The Clinic and Polyclinic for Orthopedics has been integrated into the teaching- and research programs of the University of Regensburg since June of 2000. Its director, Prof. Dr. Joachim Grifka, simultaneously holds the chair of the institute for orthopedics. In Bad Abbach, there are annually 3.600 in-patients treated, 450 operations are performed on out-patients, as well as 10.000 out-patients are treated in the orthopedic outpatient department of the university. The orthopedic clinic ensures 24-hour emergency treatment with OP-readiness for acute cases and for bone- and joints injuries. This ensures for treatment capacities at any time, e.g. for bone fractures, prolapsed intervertebral discs or arthritis cases, including all measures required, all the way up to operations .
